Cedar & Sage has my heart. I founded this photography company with my sister-in-law in 2018 and we've grown leaps and bounds. I was able to bring my design and seo background to create the visual foundation of the business and I've gained profound knowledge about the ins and outs of business.
Cedar + Sage Studios
When Cedar & Sage began, I was still working full time as a graphic designer and this company was my outlet to do visuals how I wanted. I really loved using natural elements and colors to depict our love of natural lighting photography and working in open fields and parks.
Branding + Identity
My business partner and I did a lot of soul searching and ideal client research to find who they are and what kind of businesses they want to work with. That then translated easily into all aspects of the creative work - including our website. I wanted it to be easy to navigate and have the essence of a luxury brand without feeling snobby or pretentious. It's clean and authentic to us.

Most designers have experienced freelancing on their own at some point or another, but working with Jacqui has been both a challenge and a blessing. I've pushed myself in many ways that I didn't expect to, like learning the ins and outs of business operations. I've had to communicate with clients through a CRM, improve my time management to keep up with an editing schedule, learn federal and tax business structures, and dabble in finance (even though it's still not my favorite). Even with the creative contributions, I also still had to learn to compromise and create visuals that we both are proud of.
